Bruce D. Haase

Bruce.Haase@Charter.net Bruce was born in Elkhorn, WI and raised in Genoa City, WI. He is a 1970 graduate of Badger High School in Lake Geneva, WI. In 1975, he graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College with an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science. Bruce came to work in the family Funeral Home, Haase Funeral Home in Genoa City in 1974. After completing his apprenticeship in 1975, he became licensed with the State of Wisconsin as a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. He then obtained his Illinois Funeral Directors license. Bruce and his wife Nanette, have two children, Andrew, a licensed Funeral Director with the family firm and Kathryn, a kindergarten teacher at Bristol Grade School, Bristol, WI. Bruce enjoys fishing, especially in Minnesota, golfing and cruising the countryside in his 1995 Corvette. Bruce is a member of the Genoa City Lion’s Club and the Twin Lakes Area Chamber and Business Association where he served as president several years ago. He was a former member of the Genoa City Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad from 1971 until 1979 serving as Rescue Squad Captain. In 1979, Bruce moved to the Funeral Home in Twin Lakes, WI, there he joined the Twin Lakes Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad serving in all positions within the department, retiring as Fire Chief on December 31, 2009. He is still active as an Emergency Medical IV Technician on the department. He is also on the Board of Directors with the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association. and the Pre-need Committee. When asked, why funeral service? Bruce’s response is “I grew up in the family business and watched my father helping families through the most trying times of their life. I like to think that I am carrying on his tradition of treating every family as if they are the only one going through a tough time, then I feel that I have done my part in making their funeral or other arrangements a memorable experience.”
