Hilary M. Stumpf age 89 of Twin Lakes, WI died Monday morning July 26, 2010 at her home.
The former Hilary Mary Fournier was born on April 11, 1921 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late William J. and Ella Sullivan Fournier. On July 6, 1939 in Chicago, IL, she was united in marriage to Francis D. Stumpf and was his co-pilot for 66 years. He preceded her in death on October 1, 2005. They moved from Chicago to Twin Lakes 55 years ago. Hilary helped her husband run a flying school, grocery stores and Stumpf Realty Office in Twin Lakes.
She loved animals, gardening and enjoyed traveling with her husband. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Women's Club. She worked on the Knight's of Columbus Tootsie Roll drives
Hilary is survived by: 3 daughter's-Mary Margaret (Joseph) Flaherty of Downers Grove, IL, Jean (George) Lipstreuer of Twin Lakes, WI and Hilary Louise Hamachek of Twin Lakes, WI; 10 grandchildren-Deborah, Robert, Jeanne, John, Thomas, Christine, Daniel, Ronald, Laura and Lee; 16 gr. Grandchildren, 1 daughter in law-Linda Stumpf.
She was preceded in death by her son-Francis D. Stumpf, Jr. and Son in law-Gary Hamachek.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Friday July 30, 2010 at St. John's Catholic Church in Twin Lakes. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery. The Stumpf Family will receive friends from 4 to 8PM Thursday at the Haase-Derrick-Lockwood Funeral Home. Memorial remembrances may be made to the Twin Lakes Rescue Squad 236 E.
