Florence H. Ebneter, 83, of Randall Township, WI, died Tuesday July 27, 2010 at Aurora Memorial Hospital in Burlington, WI. The former Florence Tobler was born in Browntown, WI on July 1, 1927 the daughter of the late Albert and Anastasia (McCann) Tobler. She graduated from Brodhead High School in Brodhead, WI, in 1945 and then from Whitewater State Teachers College in Whitewater, WI with a B.A. in teaching. She taught Business Education at Johnson Creek High School in Johnson Creek, WI. During her life Florence was active with the Girl Scouts. She was part of the leadership with the PTA at Hanover Countyside School in Streamwood, IL. She was a member of Calvary United Church of Christ in Twin Lakes, WI. She was a member of the Gardenaires Garden Club. Florence loved to go snowmobiling. Her greatest happiness came with spending time with her family and friends.
Florence is survived by: Carl, her husband of 57 years, 2 daughters: Carlene (Tim) Lois of Lily Lake, WI and Heidi (Dave) Horstmann of Hoffman Estates, IL, 4 grandchildren: Jessica (Lyle) Buchberger, David (Bethany) Lois, Eric and Anastasia Horstmann, Ukrainian foster grandson Andriy, 3 great-grandchildren: Caleb, Andrew and Sophia Lois, a brother Carl (Shirley) Tobler of Davis, IL and sister Rosie Myers of Freeport, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Evelyn Tobler
Services will be Saturday July 31, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. in Calvary United Church of Christ in Twin Lakes, WI. Pastor Judy Wang will officiate. Burial will follow in Mound Prairie Cemetery in Twin Lakes. The Ebneter family will receive visitors Saturday in church from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Florence's name to the Ebneter family to be used for Orphans Future.
