Tim Lockwood

hdlfh@elknet.net Tim was born and raised in Elkhorn, WI. He is a 1976 graduate from Elkhorn High School. He graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College with an associate degree in Mortuary Science in 1980. In 1983 he started the Lockwood Funeral Home in Elkhorn. Tim and his wife Mary have four children, Alex, Daniel, Drew and Megan. Tim enjoys the outdoors; bird watching and fishing, working in his yard and watching his kids participate in sports. He is a member and past president of the Elkhorn Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and served on the church council and member of the Southeastern Funeral Director Assoc. He served as town board supervisor for the Town of Geneva and on the Walworth County Board Supervisors for 3 terms. He was a member and vice chairman of Lakeland Nursing Home Board of Trustees. Former member Walworth County Public Health Advisory Board and served on the Board of Directors for V.I.P. Services of Elkhorn. Why funeral service? “I firmly feel this is not just a job but a ministry, it sounds coy, but I attended a funeral for my great uncle at the age of ten and from that time on I knew I wanted to be a funeral director. I find it an honor and privilege to be allowed into the life of a family during one of the most personal and difficult moments in their lifetime. For me to be able to provide help and support to that family is truly satisfying and rewarding.
